DEC 2 WE WANT ACTION! In this session, we’ll identify stream-related policies, legislation, and lawmakers to support during the upcoming legislative session.

In the wake of the Kona Low and Hurricane Lala flood events, we invite educators, scientists, and community partners to attend our three-part STEMplus series focusing on strengthening our community of practice around stream stewardship and disaster preparedness. If you want to learn who is responsible for stream care and maintenance and how communities can contribute to stream-related policies for the upcoming legislative session, join us!

Join us for the first STEMplus event of the school year: Paʻēpaʻē o Waikolu: Visualizing Data & Collective Impact on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 4:30–7:30 PM at ʻIolani School. Dinner will be provided!

Discover how a decade of stream biodiversity data has been transformed into an interactive visualization tool by ʻIolani’s Community Science Bioinformatician, Ethan Hill. This session will highlight how the tool supports student inquiry and data literacy while deepening understanding of stream health.
